Dozens Defect From APC To ADC In Sokoto, Cite Insecurity, Poverty

Several members of the ruling Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to concerns over insecurity, poverty, and poor governance. The defectors were formally received by Senator Abubakar Gada, a leading figure in the ADC coalition movement, who described the move as a sign of mounting discontent with the government.

Senator Gada highlighted the troubling security challenges, crippled agriculture, and economic hardships leading to poverty, unemployment, and hunger in the community. He emphasized that the influx of defectors to the ADC was a rejection of the APC's performance and a demonstration of the people's readiness to support an alternative platform.

The ADC is seen as offering a credible alternative to address the poor performance of the APC government and provide hope for Nigerians seeking change.
