Sokoto: Wave of defections hits APC as members join ADC

A wave of defections has hit the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto, with members from Gada Local Government Area joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The defectors, led by Senator Abubakar Gada, cited the APC government's poor performance and failure to address pressing challenges facing Nigerians as reasons for their departure.

Senator Gada emphasized the worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and breakdown of livelihood in Sokoto, particularly in the Eastern Senatorial District. He stated that the ADC was rapidly gaining ground as Nigerians sought a credible alternative to the current government.

The defection is seen as a clear indication of citizen frustration and a growing movement towards the ADC as a platform ready to rescue the nation.
