DSS Charges El-Rufai for Intercepting NSA Ribadu's Calls

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai on allegations of intercepting the phone conversations of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. The prosecution presented five amended charges against El-Rufai at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The proceedings commenced under the presiding judge, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, who struck out previous counts against El-Rufai. He pleaded not guilty to the five amended charges.

This legal action follows comments made by El-Rufai during a February interview on Arise Television, where he suggested that someone had wiretapped Ribadu's phone, allowing for surveillance on the NSA's instructions regarding security operations and arrests.
