DSS Confirms Arrest of Operative Accused of Illegally Marrying Teenager in Jigawa State

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Nigeria has confirmed the arrest of an operative, Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, accused of unlawfully marrying a 16-year-old girl, Walida Abdulhadi, in Hadejia, Jigawa State. The magistrate court ordered the arrest following allegations of abduction, illegal detention, and forced religious conversion.

The DSS clarified that the accused operative is not Ifeanyi Festus, as stated in a petition. Investigations are ongoing, and the DSS emphasized adherence to laid-down codes of conduct.
