DSS Operative Arrested for Alleged Abduction and Defilement of Minor in Jigawa State

The Department of State Services (DSS) responded to allegations of one of its staff members, Festu, being involved in the abduction and defilement of a minor named Walida Ibrahim in Hadejia, Jigawa State. Walida's lawyer, Gamji Lawchain, filed a petition accusing Festu of abducting and unlawfully detaining Walida for two years, leading to her forced conversion to Islam and sexual exploitation.

The DSS clarified that the actual staff member involved was Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, who is suspected of forcibly converting and marrying Walida. Investigations are ongoing, and outcomes will be made public.
