E-invoicing: FIRS unveils 16 tech companies to push taxpayers onboarding ahead of November 1 deadline

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has revealed 16 tech companies that will assist in taxpayer onboarding ahead of the November 1, 2025 deadline for e-invoicing. These companies are certified by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and have the technical capacity to provide the required services.

The Acting Director of Tax Automation at FIRS, Mike Adoga, highlighted that these companies, including Pasca Technology Limited and Etranzact International Plc, are soon expected to meet the necessary requirements. FIRS warned that any company found compromising standards will be delisted.

FIRS Executive Chairman Tayo Koleosho mentioned that 20% of the target taxpayers have been onboarded since the platform went live on August 1, 2025. Despite the progress, FIRS recognized the challenges and extended the onboarding deadline by three months.

The e-invoicing system, known as Merchant Buyer Solution (MBS), aims to enhance tax compliance.
