ADC and APC Clash Over Alleged Coercion of Civil Servants

The ADC and APC are embroiled in a dispute over claims of coercing civil servants to join political parties. Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi of the ADC accused the APC of economic coercion, violating constitutional rights.

In response, Bala Ibrahim of the APC dismissed the allegations as baseless, emphasizing that civil servants are not forced to join parties. The ADC called on relevant authorities, including the NDPC, to investigate potential data privacy violations.

Barrister Felix Morka reiterated that civil servants are not compelled to join political parties as it does not confer any special benefits.
