Nigerian Senate Defends Electoral Act Amendment Amid Criticism

The Nigerian Senate, through spokesman Yemi Adaramodu, refuted claims of playing to the gallery in response to criticism over amending the Electoral Act. The amendment to the Electoral Act allows for the electronic transmission of election results, addressing technical issues that may arise, such as internet connectivity failures. Adaramodu defended the move, stating that the EC8A form would remain the primary instrument for result collation.
