Bishop Odetoyinbo Urges Hope and Resilience This Easter

Rev. Peter Odetoyinbo, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, delivered an Easter message highlighting the themes of hope and resilience amid Nigeria's ongoing economic and security challenges.

He called on Nigerians to embrace hope and renew their faith, emphasizing that the resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the foundation of Christian hope. The bishop acknowledged the widespread hardships faced by Nigerians, including poverty, hunger, unemployment, and insecurity, which have caused significant distress for families.

He noted the lingering impact of violence and unrest in parts of the country, urging divine intervention in these trying times. Addressing the youth, Bishop Odetoyinbo encouraged them to persevere in faith and not lose courage despite current difficulties.

He called for citizens to embody the spirit of Easter by promoting honesty and mutual support, urging them to become instruments of resurrection for one another and to refuse to let hardship destroy love for their neighbors.
