Anambra Journalists Urge Hope and Resilience This Easter

The League of Anambra Journalists, based in Abuja, extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria and the world, describing the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a profound symbol of sacrifice and victory over death, promising new life. In a statement released on Sunday, signed by the President, Ikenna Okonkwo, and Secretary, Princess Ekwi Ajid, the group noted that Easter serves as a reminder that light will always triumph over darkness and that hope can emerge even in challenging times.

They highlighted the current difficulties facing Nigeria, including economic challenges, social uncertainty, and rising insecurity, urging citizens to draw strength from the season to renew their faith and foster unity. The League called on the government to fulfill its constitutional responsibility to protect lives and property, emphasizing that Nigerians deserve sustainable and transparent actions to restore confidence and ensure security.

They encouraged citizens to remain resilient and united, reminding them that suffering will eventually give way to restoration and light.
