Nigerian Leaders Urge Unity and Prayer This Easter

In a collective Easter message, Nigeria's top political leaders, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abass, called on citizens to embrace prayer and unity as the nation grapples with insecurity and economic challenges. Akpabio emphasized the need for Nigerians to reflect on the values of love, peace, and sacrifice that Easter represents, urging collective efforts towards national stability.

He acknowledged the security and socio-economic difficulties facing the country and expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome these challenges through sustained prayer and effort. Abass echoed this sentiment, highlighting Jesus Christ as a role model for selflessness and obedience.

Various state governors, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Ademola Adeleke of Osun, and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, reinforced the call for unity and hope, urging citizens to prioritize peace and reject divisive tendencies. They collectively stressed the importance of faith in addressing national challenges.
