CDS Olufemi Oluyede Honors Fallen Heroes This Easter

During the Easter celebrations, Chief of Defence Staff Olufemi Oluyede paid tribute to fallen heroes of the Armed Forces in Nigeria. In his Easter message posted from Defence Headquarters, he highlighted the deep spiritual significance of the season, which symbolizes sacrifice, courage, and hope in the triumph of good over evil.

Oluyede stressed that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ serve as a powerful example of selfless service and leadership, reminding military personnel of the importance of unwavering commitment to a greater cause. He commended the troops for their daily efforts in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and protecting its citizens, acknowledging the immense sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers.

Oluyede also honored the wounded personnel currently deployed in various operational theaters and expressed appreciation for the support of military families, particularly during the festive period. He urged all members of the Armed Forces to remain vigilant and steadfast in their duties and called on Nigerians to embrace ownership of the fight against terrorism, emphasizing collective responsibility for national security.
