CDS Urges Unity and Support for National Security

In a goodwill message for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyed called on troops and Nigerians to maintain unity and support national security. He highlighted the Ramadan period as a time for prayer, sacrifice, and self-discipline, urging military personnel to embody these virtues.

Oluyed reaffirmed the Armed Forces' commitment to safeguarding Nigeria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, honoring the sacrifices of fallen personnel and recognizing the courage of those injured in the line of duty. He stressed the need for discipline and resilience among troops deployed across various operational theaters, emphasizing the importance of enhancing joint operations to address emerging security threats.

The General also noted that the welfare of military personnel remains a priority and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast support in enhancing defense capabilities. He concluded by wishing all members of the Armed Forces and Nigerians a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
