Taraba ALGON Urges Peace and Unity This Easter

The Taraba State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), under the leadership of Hon. Mose Maihankali, congratulated Christians in Taraba State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Easter.

In a message, Maihankali urged citizens to uphold peace and coexistence, particularly during the Lenten season. He called for prayers for the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas, emphasizing the need for peace leading up to the 2027 general elections.

Maihankali highlighted the significance of Easter as a reminder of triumph over despair and the enduring values of sacrifice and redemption. He further encouraged Nigerians to promote unity and coexistence across religious, ethnic, and political lines, stressing that the country's strength lies in its diversity.

The ALGON chairman also urged Christians to draw closer to God during this reflective period, while advising caution against unnecessary travel during the holiday due to high transport costs and security concerns.
