APC in Ebonyi Won't Sanction Aspirants Defying Consensus

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi has announced that it will not impose sanctions on aspirants who decide to purchase nomination forms, even if they defy the party's consensus arrangement. This disclosure was made by the state chairman, Stanlei Okoro Emegha, during a press briefing.

He noted that while the party expects aspirants to adhere to the consensus, it recognizes the right of individuals to contest. Emegha emphasized the need for dialogue with aspirants to encourage them to consider the party's collective interests.

He mentioned that the party would not confirm whether aspirants had obtained forms until a list is published at the party headquarters in Abuja. Emegha also urged the media to exercise restraint in reporting on the consensus arrangement, highlighting the necessity for unity within the party as they prepare for upcoming challenges.
