Ebonyi APC Sets Date for Primaries, Focuses on Transparency and Consolidation

The Ebonyi APC has scheduled primaries for January 25, 2026, to select candidates for local government positions, focusing on transparency and party strengthening. The State Chairman disclosed this after a meeting, urging political appointees intending to contest to resign by December 20, 2025.

The APC plans a membership revalidation exercise and is constructing a new state secretariat. Meanwhile, opposition PDP lawmaker Iduma Igariwey officially defects to the APC.
