APC Ebonyi State Sets N30m Fee for Chairmanship Forms, Exceeding Officials' Salaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has caused a stir by fixing the nomination form fee for local government chairmanship at N30 million, surpassing the four-year salaries of officials. This decision was disclosed by APC State Chairman Stanlei Okoro Emegha during a closed-door meeting with party officials.

Notably, Dave Umahi's son reportedly picked the APC nomination form for the chairmanship position in Ohaozara Local Government Area. A comparison with the official earnings of local government chairmen in the country, as per the RMAFC, reveals the exorbitant nature of the nomination fee.

This move has raised concerns about corruption in electoral processes.
