ECOWAS Condemns Benin Coup Attempt, Vows Support for Government

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has strongly condemned the attempted coup in Benin, where a small group of individuals claimed to have removed the president and dissolved state institutions. The coup attempt was quickly thwarted, with the regular army regaining control.
