Hearn Confirms Fury vs Joshua Won't Be in Dublin

Eddie Hearn, the promoter for Matchroom Boxing, has ruled out the possibility of hosting the heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua at Croke Park in Dublin. Hearn confirmed that the plans are instead centered around Katie Taylor's farewell fight at the iconic venue.

Peter Mckenna, the chief executive of Croke Park, had suggested the idea of hosting the Fury-Joshua bout, but Hearn dismissed this notion, stating that the focus is solely on Taylor's event. Taylor, 39, has long targeted a bout at the 82,000-capacity stadium, especially after not having fought a complete trilogy against Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden last summer.

Hearn noted that while Fury recently returned from a 15-month absence to outpoint Arslanbek Makhmudov, there is currently no contract signed for a fight against Joshua, who was present ringside during Fury's match. Hearn believes the moment for Taylor's event has arrived, following previous attempts to stage a fight at Croke Park that fell through.
