Hearn Denies Confirmed Joshua vs Fury Fight Claims

Eddie Hearn, the promoter for Anthony Joshua, has dismissed recent claims regarding a confirmed heavyweight boxing match between Joshua and Tyson Fury. Despite mounting speculation and reports from boxing journalist Gareth Davies that the highly anticipated bout has been secured behind the scenes with Netflix, Hearn has stated that no deal has been reached.

He emphasized that discussions had previously gathered momentum. Joshua is currently recovering from a fatal car crash that occurred on December 29, near Ibadan, which involved close associates, including his trainer Kevin Ayodele and therapist Sina Ghami.

Hearn also mentioned that Joshua recently stopped Jake Paul in Miami and is targeting a summer comeback, with Dillian Whyte emerging as a possible opponent. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury is scheduled to return to the ring on April 11 against Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as part of a Netflix card featuring Conor Benn, who stepped away from boxing a year ago.
