ADC Candidate Dispute: Bright Osakpamwan vs. Osagie

The Egharevba Bright Osakpamwan Campaign Organisation has demanded clarification regarding the appearance of Deacon Festus Osaigbovo Osagie’s name on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the House of Representatives election. The organization asserts that Bright Osakpamwan was the legitimate candidate, having participated in and won the ADC primary election.

They have called on INEC, former Edo State Governor Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, Senator Ehigie Uzamere, Prof. Osariemen Osunbor, and the ADC national leadership to disclose records and resolutions related to the primary election and candidate submission.

The campaign organization expressed concern over the integrity of the party's internal processes, emphasizing that Bright's nomination was based on delegate votes and compliance with party requirements. Despite Osagie's credentials appearing on the INEC portal, the organization insists that this should not override the primary election results.

Osagie responded by stating that the party has the authority to choose its representatives.
