Edo Assembly Threatens Arrest Over N31.8bn Probe Standoff

The Edo State House of Assembly has issued a stern warning to former Governor Godwin Obaseki for failing to appear before an ad hoc committee investigating the alleged mismanagement of N31.8 billion tied to projects involving the Museum of West African Art and Radisson Hotel. Obaseki and other officials have declined to attend, citing ongoing court proceedings.

The committee chair, Addeh Isibor, expressed disappointment and emphasized the need for a fair hearing. The committee is determined to compile a report based on evidence and press until relevant issues are resolved.
