Edo Governor Okpebholo Implements Cabinet Reshuffle for Efficiency

Edo State Governor Okpebholo has implemented a minor cabinet reshuffle effective January 30, 2026. The reshuffle involves redeploying commissioners and appointing a new Chief of Staff, with Vincent Osa Uwadia being redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas to the Ministry of Land and Housing.

Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff, replacing Gani Audu, who has been nominated to head the Commission of Oil and Gas. These changes are subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.

The Governor expressed confidence that the reshuffle will enhance coordination within the government and accelerate policy implementation across the state.
