Edo Queens Clinch Second NWFL Title in 2026

Edo Queens Football Club emerged as champions of the 2026 Nigeria Women Football League, finishing at the top of the Super Six tournament held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. They secured the title with a goalless draw against Bayelsa Queens, accumulating a total of 10 points from five matches, winning three and drawing two.

This victory marks their second title, having previously won in 2024 against the same opponent with a 1-1 draw. Bayelsa Queens ended the tournament in second place with 10 points, while Nasarawa Amazon and Rivers Angels finished third and fourth, respectively.

Coach Mose Aduk commended his players for their resilience, especially after a challenging start to the season. He expressed pride in the team's ability to recover and win the trophy, highlighting the support from Edo State Sports Commissioner Amadin Enabulele and Governor Mondai Okpebholo.

Aduk emphasized the importance of nurturing talent for the state's future success.
