Edo Queens Crowned 2026 NWFL Super Six Champions

Edo Queens Football Club emerged as the 2026 champions of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six, concluding the tournament with a total of 10 points. The final match, held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, against Bayelsa Queens, ended in a 0-0 draw, which was sufficient for Edo Queens to secure the title.

The Benin-based team won three matches and drew two, while Bayelsa Queens finished in second place with an inferior goal difference, also totaling 10 points. Nasarawa Amazon secured third place with 8 points after drawing 0-0 against Rivers Angels, who ended the competition in fourth place.

Coach Mose Aduk praised the players for their resilience, especially after a loss to Nasarawa Amazon at the start of the competition. He acknowledged the support from Edo State's sports council chairman, Amadin Enabulele, and Governor Mondai Okpebholo, emphasizing the importance of nurturing talent in the state.
