Edo State Government Approves ₦799 Billion Budget Increase for 2025

The Edo State Government has approved a revised supplementary budget of ₦799 billion for 2025, marking an 18% increase. The approval was made during an emergency executive meeting presided over by Governor Addressing.

Commissioner of Finance, Emmanuel Okoebor, highlighted the focus on capital projects and infrastructure growth in the budget. The revised budget includes a boost in capital allocation and a slight rise in recurrent spending to accommodate salary adjustments and employment drive.

Commissioner of Information and Communication, Paul Ohombamu, confirmed that the budget would be transmitted to the Edo State House of Assembly for legislative consideration and passage.
