Edoh Urges Tinubu to Uphold Democracy and Rule of Law

Dr. Raymond Edoh, President of the Global Nigerian Diaspora Good Governance Organization, called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to rise to the occasion and defend democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Edoh described the current moment as a defining moment in Nigeria's history, emphasizing the need to safeguard democracy and uphold the rule of law. He warned against politically motivated decisions that could undermine citizens' rights and freedoms, stressing that actions in Nigeria should not be driven by political interests.

Edoh highlighted the importance of leadership in resisting the erosion of democracy and urged Tinubu to demonstrate courage in supporting justice and promoting unity. He also called on the international community, including the United States Department of State, the United Nations, and the European Union, to support Nigeria in defending democratic values.

Furthermore, Edoh appealed to Nigeria's three arms of government—legislature, executive, and judiciary—to uphold the constitution and protect democratic integrity.
