Education Minister Alausa Unveils Digital Reforms in Nigerian Schools

Education Minister Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa has unveiled significant reforms in Nigerian schools, emphasizing a shift towards digital learning.

The Ministry of Education, led by Alausa, is implementing measures such as interactive smartboards, free internet access for teachers in underserved communities, and a zero-rate data device scheme. The reforms aim to transform classrooms into hubs of connectivity and information access.

Additionally, the curriculum is being revamped to include trade skills, digital literacy, and civic education. The Minister has also reinstated English as the primary language of instruction nationwide, reversing the previous policy of teaching in mother tongues.

Professor Oyesoji Aremu's guidance and counseling department supports this move.
