EFCC Charges Ex-MD Musa Koki with N108M Fraud

Musa Saidu Koki, the former Managing Director of Buffah S.K. Co.

Ltd., was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of fraud involving N108,068,500. The EFCC alleges that Koki used a parcel of land belonging to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who represents Abia North, to defraud an investor.

The charges include five counts related to advance fee fraud and obtaining money under false pretenses. Koki is accused of collecting N7 million from the investor under the pretense that the land was free of encumbrances, knowing it belonged to Kalu.

The alleged fraudulent activities occurred around December 2024, and Koki entered a not guilty plea. The EFCC requested that the court remand Koki in custody, while his counsel sought to allow him to continue enjoying administrative bail previously granted.

The case has been adjourned to July 29 for trial commencement.
