EFCC Charges Four Hotel Staff with N91.7 Million Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned four staff members of God's Touch Apart Hotel in Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, for their alleged involvement in a fraud scheme amounting to N91.7 million. The suspects, identified as Adetunji Mathew, Victor Damilar, Olaomo Dougla, Agorom Ikwugwu, and Arowolo Adeniyi Abiodun, face charges of conspiracy and theft.

Mathew and Olaomo were arraigned before Justice O. Okunuga on five counts of conspiracy to commit felony theft, specifically involving N91,749,230, in violation of sections 409 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

Ikwugwu and Abiodun were presented before Justice Olubunmi Abik-Fadip at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, also facing five counts of similar charges. The court has adjourned the case involving Ikwugwu and Abiodun to March 16, 2026, for a hearing on their bail application, with the commencement of their trial set for May 20, 2026.
