EFCC Clarifies Malami's Non-Compliance with Bail Conditions Amidst Political Allegations

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) clarified that Malam Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General, has not met the five bail conditions granted to him on November 28. The EFCC refuted claims of political bias by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and emphasized that Malami should focus on meeting the bail conditions rather than alleging political motives.

Despite not meeting the requirements, Malami's bail has not been revoked, and the EFCC has granted him temporary reprieve pending further investigations. The EFCC also highlighted Malami's plea for leniency due to ill health, which was considered without proper medical evidence.
