EFCC to Arraign Ex-AGF Malami for Money Laundering Charges Today

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is preparing to arraign former Attorney General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami, on charges of money laundering and related offenses. Malami, who held the justice ministry for eight years under President Muhammadu Buhari, will face trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The charges, totaling 16 counts, include suspicions of mismanagement of government funds and financial irregularities. The arraignment is expected to take place today, with Justice Emeka Nwite presiding.

Malami has been in EFCC custody for nearly a month as part of the investigation into alleged corruption during his tenure.
