Abuja Court Judge Warns Lawyers in EFCC vs. Malami Money Laundering Case

In a legal battle between the EFCC and former AGF Malami, an Abuja Court Judge issued a stern warning to Malami's lawyers during a trial for alleged money laundering amounting to N8.7 billion. The judge cautioned against seeking leniency and set stringent bail conditions for Malami, his wife, and son.

Malami expressed dissatisfaction with the trial and requested the EFCC chairman's recusal. The case was adjourned to continue in February 2026.

The Presidency clarified that the President does not interfere in anti-corruption agency operations.
