Hossam Hassan's Contract Extended Until 2030 by EFA

The Egyptian Football Association has extended the contract of head coach Hossam Hassan, keeping him in his role until 2030. This decision was announced by Hani Abo Rida, the president of the Egyptian Football Association, during a press conference.

Hossam Hassan, who is 59 years old, led the Egyptian national team to the Round of 16 in the World Cup, marking his fourth appearance in the tournament since 2018. Under his leadership, Egypt nearly caused a major upset against reigning champions Argentina, leading 2-0 before ultimately losing 3-2 due to a late turnaround.

Hassan's tenure includes significant achievements, such as Egypt's first win in a World Cup match, a 3-1 victory over New Zealand, and a penalty shootout win against Australia in the Round of 16. His success has instilled immense confidence in the team as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025, where he will take charge in February.
