Eight Anambra Pastors Remanded for Staging Fake Miracles

Eight pastors were remanded at a correctional center in Awka, Anambra State, after being arraigned for allegedly staging fake miracles, in violation of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law of 2025. The pastors include Ndubisi Nnachukwu of Omega Dominion Ministry, Ekelem Ugochukwu of Cloud Glory Prophet Ministry, Bishop Emeka Nwamkpa of Chapel Faith Ministry, Peter Chukwu of Messiah Ador Ministry, Chinedu Egwuonwu of Citadel Grace Ministry, Ebel Nnachukwu of Jehovah Mighty Ministry, and Chukwukadibia Ogwuama of Miracle Iruoma City Power Ministry.

They were charged under various sections of the law, including obtaining false pretenses and advance fee fraud. The pastors pleaded not guilty before Justice Jude Obiorah, who adjourned the case until June 15, 2026.

The prosecution, led by State Attorney General Justice Tobechukwu Nweke SAN, presented video evidence and confessions as part of their case against the accused, who are alleged to have exploited vulnerable members of the public.
