The Anambra State Government, under the leadership of Governor Prof. Charles Soludo, has issued a public appeal for residents to provide credible information regarding individuals masquerading as genuine pastors but engaging in criminal practices. This initiative is part of a broader effort to combat the activities of fake pastors and traditional healers who are reportedly involved in extortion, fraud, and other deceptive acts that threaten the peace and safety of the community.

The government emphasizes the importance of community cooperation in this effort, assuring that any information shared will be treated with absolute confidentiality. The appeal was communicated through a press statement signed by Ifeoma Ejiofor, the state commissioner for information.

The government aims to restore sanity to traditional worship and religious practices in Anambra State and encourages citizens to report any suspicious activities to a designated contact number.
