Ekiti State Government Requires Political Parties to Pay ₦5m for Campaign Materials

The Ekiti State Government has directed political parties to pay a ₦5 million fee before displaying campaign materials such as posters, billboards, and jingles for the upcoming 2026 governorship election. The Ekiti State Signage and Advertising Agency issued the order, emphasizing that no campaign materials should be displayed until the fee is paid.

The government aims to control the indiscriminate posting of campaign materials to protect public structures during the campaign season. Failure to comply may result in sanctions as per the agency's law.

Payments are to be made to the agency's Polaris Bank account.
