INEC Releases Provisional List of Ekiti Governorship Candidates for 2026 Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a provisional list of governorship and deputy governorship candidates for the 2026 election in Ekiti State. The list includes candidates from 12 political parties, such as the Progress Congress (APC), African Action Congress, and Action People's Party.

Notably, the People's Democrat Party was absent from the list, with INEC set to update it by January 19, 2026, in line with the Electoral Act 2022. Various candidates and their running mates from different parties are listed, indicating a diverse field for the upcoming election.
