Ekiti 2026: PDP, APC, Parties To Beat At The Poll – Oluyede

Wole Oluyede, a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has identified the PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the main contenders in the 2026 gubernatorial election. Oluyede dismissed the emergence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition as a threat, stating that the PDP remains a formidable force in Ekiti politics.

He declared his intention to contest the election in his hometown of Ikere Ekiti and expressed confidence in garnering support from the people. Oluyede emphasized the importance of endorsements from the masses and highlighted the need for the people to have a voice in the political landscape.

He also addressed the issue of defections, stating that individuals have the right to join or leave a political party freely. Oluyede's declaration signals a competitive race for the governorship in Ekiti State in June 2026.
