Ekiti Elders Promote Patriotism and Community Service

The Ekiti Council of Elders has advocated for patriotism and selfless service as essential for societal improvement. Prof.

Joseph Oluwasanmi, during the induction of seven young citizens into the council, urged the youth of Ekiti State to prepare to play active roles in community development. Niyi Ajibulu, the council's public relations officer, described the induction of young members as a novel initiative aimed at modernizing the council's activities.

The event featured notable speakers, including Adeoy Aribasoy from the Ekiti State House of Assembly and Margaret Fagboyo, Chief Executive Officer of Agbeyewa Farm. Oluwasanmi emphasized the need for the new members to guide and suggest improvements to the council's service delivery.

The council aims to strengthen ties with the Ekiti diaspora and enhance governance through the contributions of its members. The induction ceremony also included remarks from various dignitaries, highlighting the council's commitment to developing Ekiti State through its programs and projects.
