Ekiti State Promotes Arinta Waterfall for Tourism Growth

The Ekiti State Government is intensifying efforts to establish tourism as a significant driver of economic growth, employment, and investment. Governor Biodun Oyebanji, represented by Wale Ojo-Lanre, the Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, made this announcement during the 2026 World Tourism Day celebration at Arinta Waterfall, Ipole-Iloro.

The event, attended by traditional rulers, tourism enthusiasts, and community leaders, focused on leveraging digital technology and artificial intelligence to promote Ekiti's tourism destinations. Oyebanji expressed a commitment to partner with investors to develop Arinta Waterfall into a world-class tourist center, assuring high returns on investment due to demand, particularly from students in the state.

Ojo-Lanre described Arinta Waterfall as a unique attraction with seven waterfalls and emphasized the importance of digital platforms in marketing tourism. The celebration aimed to enhance the visibility of Arinta Waterfall and attract potential visitors and investors.
