NDC Candidate Dr. Olusegun Excluded from INEC List

Confusion has emerged within the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ekiti following the exclusion of Dr Ayodele Ayokunle Olusegun from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) final list for the 2027 elections. In a petition dated September 13, 2026, addressed to the NDC National Secretary, Olusegun demanded an investigation into the omission, asserting he completed all necessary nomination processes.

He referenced media reports from September 3 that confirmed his candidacy and stated that his nomination forms were submitted to the NDC National Secretariat for transmission to INEC. Olusegun requested documentary evidence regarding the processing and submission of his nomination forms, raising 16 questions about the status of his candidacy.

He expressed concerns over party accountability and electoral compliance, calling for the preservation of all records related to his nomination. Olusegun reserved the right to seek legal relief, emphasizing the need for clarity on the disappearance of his name from the INEC list despite prior affirmations of his candidacy.
