Oyebanji Aims for Over 500,000 Votes in Ekiti Elections

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed confidence in exceeding a target of 500,000 votes in the elections scheduled for Saturday. Speaking after casting his vote at Ward 06, Unit 03 in Ikogosi, Oyebanji commended the large voter turnout, reflecting citizen awareness regarding the governance of the state.

When questioned about the APC's ability to secure the target, he stated that the electoral process was designed to ensure that everyone could vote. He acknowledged the potential for glitches in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) process but reassured the public that these would be addressed and that no one would be disenfranchised.

Oyebanji appealed for patience from the electorate, emphasizing the need for cooperation with INEC to ensure a smooth voting experience.
