El-Rufai Reveals Tinubu's Government Fears His Return

In a recent interview, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai articulated reasons why Bola Tinubu's government appears apprehensive about his potential return to Nigeria. El-Rufai noted that the political struggle to unseat the current administration has begun, asserting that he is among the few openly opposing the government.

He mentioned that any allegations against him have long been resolved and expressed confidence in his ability to counter any claims made against him. El-Rufai emphasized that he does not intend to contest any political office immediately but remains engaged in the political struggle.

He criticized attempts to prevent his return, particularly regarding airport access, labeling these efforts as empty threats. El-Rufai stated that he is aware of the capabilities of those seeking to remove the current government and believes that a significant political change is imminent.

He also clarified that there are no personal rifts with Tinubu, highlighting their previous collaboration within the APC during President Buhari's tenure.
