Emir of Zuru Dies in London at 81

Emir of Zuru, Muhammadu Sani Sami, passed away at the age of 81 in a London hospital after battling an illness, as confirmed by a statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris. The Emir, who left behind four wives and seven children, was a retired Army personnel who rose through the ranks and served in various capacities within and outside Nigeria.

He ascended to the throne of Emir of Zuru in 1995 and held the position until his demise. The Kebbi Government expressed deep condolences to his family, the Zuru Emirate Council, and the people of Kebbi.

Details of his burial arrangements are yet to be communicated. Emir Muhammadu Sani Sami was described as a respected traditional ruler and a dedicated military officer.
