Judy Austin Files ₦2bn Defamation Lawsuits Against Ex

Judy Austin has initiated defamation lawsuits against her ex-husband Obasi and her in-law Rita Edochie, seeking a total of over ₦2 billion in damages. In her suit against Obasi, Judy demands ₦1 billion for alleged defamation, claiming harm to her reputation and other negative consequences stemming from his statements.

She requests the court to compel Obasi to publicly retract the statements, issue an unconditional apology, and remove any defamatory content from his online platforms. Additionally, Judy seeks ₦100 million to cover the costs of prosecuting the case.

She has also filed a separate lawsuit against Rita Edochie, demanding another ₦1 billion for similar defamation claims. These legal actions come amid ongoing controversy regarding Judy's marriage to Yul Edochie, which has drawn public attention due to Yul's previous marriage to May Edochie.

Rita Edochie, a relative of Yul, has been vocal in her criticism of Judy online but has not publicly addressed the lawsuits.
