Entries Open for 2026 Maltina Teacher of the Year

The 2026 Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition, organized by the Nigerian Breweries Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, is now accepting entries from June 3 to August 7, 2026. This nationwide initiative aims to identify, recognize, and reward outstanding secondary school teachers for their invaluable contributions to shaping the country's future.

Uaboi Agbebaku, the Secretary of the Trust Fund, emphasized the competition as a vital platform to celebrate teachers who continuously transform lives and strengthen the nation's education system. The overall winner will receive a cash prize of N10 million and a brand new Honda HR-V, while their school will benefit from an infrastructure project valued at N30 million.

The first and second runners-up will receive N5 million and N3 million, respectively, along with trophies. State champions will be awarded a recognition plaque and a cash prize of N1 million.

Uzodinma Odenigbo reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting educational initiatives and highlighted the importance of investing in teachers to secure Nigeria's future.
