Enugu State and EU Strengthen Partnership Beyond Education and Energy Sectors

Enugu State and the European Union are broadening their collaboration beyond education and energy sectors to encompass various areas. During a courtesy visit to Governor Peter Mbah, the EU delegation, headed by Ambassador Gautier Mignot, expressed the EU's commitment to enhancing the partnership with Enugu State.

Projects such as solar health initiatives and small hydro power ventures are already underway, with Enugu being one of seven states benefiting from the solar health project. The EU is providing technical assistance and funding for the construction of solar microgrids to power health centers and small enterprises.

Additionally, projects involving electrification investments and capacity building are being implemented by UNIDO and GIZ in Enugu State.
