Enugu Rangers Rise to Third Place in NPFL with Convincing Win Over Kano Pillars

Enugu Rangers showcased a strong performance in a 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), propelling them to third place in the league standings. The match, held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, saw Emmanuel Essien scoring in the 11th minute and Mukhtar Mohammed inadvertently turning the ball into his own net in the 49th minute.

This win marked Enugu Rangers' third victory in five matches under the guidance of coach Fidelis Ilechukwu. The team has shown improvement after a slow start to the season, now sitting at 39 points, just two points behind league leaders River United.

Kano Pillars, on the other hand, continue to struggle and are currently in 18th place in the NPFL table.
