De Zerbi Appointed to Save Tottenham from Relegation

Roberto De Zerbi has taken over as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, with the primary objective of avoiding relegation from the Premier League. The club is currently just one point above the relegation zone with seven matches left in the season.

De Zerbi replaces Igor Tudor, who was dismissed after failing to secure a win in five league matches. Tottenham has not won a league game since 2026 and suffered a significant 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in Tudor's last match.

De Zerbi, who previously managed Brighton and had a less successful stint at Marseille, expressed confidence in his ability to turn the team's fortunes around. He signed a contract in April and is committed to staying with Tottenham, even if they face relegation to the Championship.
